hospital companion

There are a number of services we are happy to provide to help you or your loved one with their hospital stay. We do not interfere with hospital staff, we are not here for medical support, but rather to make sure your loved ones stay in the hospital is more comfortable.

Companionship:
Seniors are more prone to feeling alone and disconnected when in the hospital. Through engaging conversation, laughter, and companionship, our caregivers offer their time and friendship to our clients. Whether playing a game of cards, or sharing a meal together, our compassionate and professional caregivers provide friendship and enjoyment to make a hospital stay more fulfilling.

Patient observation:
We can ensure there is someone present to monitor our clients’ condition around the clock. We can help with medication reminders or should someone need immediate attention, our caregivers can request hospital staff immediately.

Hygiene assistance:
Our caregivers can assist you or your loved one with bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing or any other personal hygiene tasks while in the hospital.

Meal assistance:
Whether it’s help eating the food provided by the hospital or stepping out to pick up a meal off hospital premises, our caregivers are here to help with meal needs and requests.

Help getting out of bed and walking:
Often after surgery or routine treatment in a hospital, a bathroom visit or walk down the hall requires some assistance. We are here to help.

Transition from hospital to home:
We have caregivers to help transport from the hospital to home. They will get the client settled into their home environment and provide any additional in-home care as needed.

Short or long term visits:
We are happy to have our caregivers come in for a few hours to give you a little respite or we can spend a few days with you or your loved one.
