finding people that really CARE
During the interview process, we look for individuals who display moral character, show a servant’s heart, and who understand the important role they play in the health and care journey of our clients. We are drawn to caregivers who have cared for family or friends in the past and have been drawn to make it their career.

continually improving our care SKILLS
After potential caregivers have passed our background and driving record checks, have demonstrated a passion for helping others, and have been vetted, they must complete our required in-house skill assessment and training within the first 72 hours of being hired. This 8.25-hour training reviews key principles in safety, transfers, caring for stroke clients, and more.
on-going live TRAINING for our caregivers
We offer all our caregivers bi-weekly, live, virtual trainings in which our care team can share their current experiences and needs while reviewing topics related to safety, dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke, transfers, documentation, etc. This ensures our team can learn and grow together, building skills to tackle new obstacles as they arise. Our training program is administered by our leadership and Emilia, the owner of Higher Standards Caregiver Training, who moderates and leads each training session.
We also offer a wide variety of in-service training opportunities CPR, Dementia LIVE, and other educational offerings hosted by ameriCARE.

physician OVERSIGHT for call our care plans
Dr. Saravanan, Executive Chairman of ameriCARE Texas and Board Certified Family Medicine Practitioner, conducts weekly meetings with our caregivers. During these sessions, Dr. Saravanan works with our care team to review the needs of our clients and discuss any changes in their condition. He then shares guidance on ways to optimize care while educating our caregivers and our clients’ families on what to look for and when to contact their primary care physician. This is a great way for us to help the family advocate for their loved one’s health and wellbeing.
